Roberto Mancini has signed a new five-year contract with the club.

The Italian has been in charge of the team since December 2009, when he replaced the sacked Mark Hughes. Last season, "Man City" won the English Premier League for the first time since 1968.

It was reported that Mancini received a very lucrative offer to coach the Russian national team, but he has no intention of leaving Manchester: "Man City" is an amazing club. I am looking forward to the challenges that await us in the future. We have great opportunities to win many trophies."

The 47-year-old coach's proteges will start the new season on August 19 by playing a match at home against "Southampton."
