Last week, the coach handed in his resignation letter, as the team executives released a statement criticizing his conflict with the construction workers at the training ground. They had not finished the work in time for the start of the season, which angered Bielsa.
Without the support he expected, the Argentine confirmed his resignation from his position, even though he had signed a new contract in June. Now he has changed his mind: "I will continue in the role of coach. However, this situation will definitely change our relationship."
Last season, "Athletic" played in the finals of the UEFA Europa League and the Spanish King's Cup, but lost both of them.
