The 31-year-old footballer, who has joined forces with the Vilnius city football club "Žalgiris", immediately joined the new teammates preparing for the Europa League battles at a training camp in Poland.

"I am happy to become a 'Žalgiris' player. It's nice to return to Vilnius, this is my home," says R. Radavičius, who has just joined the team. "I made the decision to continue my career at 'Žalgiris' quickly. I was offered attractive conditions. The fact that I will be able to be together with my family again, living in the capital, also had a big impact on the decision."

"The team mates have accepted me very friendly. I know most of them, so I don't feel like a stranger at all. I want to help them achieve their goals in the Lithuanian championship and the Europa League," says the footballer.

The experienced forward is moving from Panevėžys' "Ekrantas" to the ranks of 'Žalgiris', where he represented the team for the past two and a half years and scored 23 goals. This season, in 18 played matches, he scored 7 goals and made 5 assists.

In 2009, R. Radavičius was recognized as the most valuable player of the LFF Cup. He finished second twice, in 2010 and 2011, in the voting for the best player playing in Lithuania.

Since 2010, he has defended the honor of the Lithuanian national team. He has played 17 matches and scored 1 goal in its ranks.

R. Radavičius will not be a newcomer at "Žalgiris". He played for the capital's team in the 2007/2008 season.

Returning to Vilnius, one of the best players of the "General Financing A League" will wear his usual - number 7 jersey.
