VMFD "Žalgiris" strengthened its team with Andro Švrljuga, who has been playing in the highest league in Croatia for the past three seasons.
Arriving together with the Vilnius City Football Club "Žalgiris" team for training camp in Poland, the footballer officially became a member on Friday.

The 26-year-old footballer has been playing in the strongest league in Croatia for the past three seasons.
Starting his career in 2004 with the Kostrena's "NK Pomorac" team, the defender represented Pula's "NK Istra 1961" team from 2007 to 2010, which climbed to the country's highest division in 2009.
Since 2010, the Croatian has defended the colors of Rijeka's HNK club. Spending two years there, the new recruit to "Žalgiris" was one of the key players. Last season, he started every game (24) in the starting lineup and scored 2 goals.
A. Švrljuga has already made an impression during the training camp with Žalgiris held in Poland. In the friendly matches against Poznań's "Warta," which "Žalgiris" won 2:1, the defender scored the winning goal.
Playing for the Lithuanian vice-champions, the footballer will wear the jersey with number 11.
