The club officially confirmed that they acquired defender Thiago Silva for 42 million euros.
The 27-year-old Brazilian national team footballer signed a five-year contract, under which he will earn 7.5 million euros per season. In addition, he may receive bonuses amounting to around 1.5 million euros.
Throughout his career, Silva has played for teams such as "RS Futebol", "Juventude", "Porto", Moscow's "Dynamo", and "Fluminense". In 2009, he moved to Milan, but due to financial reasons, the Italian club decided to sell him this summer.
It is speculated that soon another "Milan" leader - forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic - will join Silva in Paris.
