Laurent Koscielny agreed to sign a new long-term contract with the London club.
The 26-year-old footballer arrived in England two years ago from "Lorient" and has played 85 matches during this time. He managed to score six goals.
"Laurent's progress has been extraordinarily impressive," rejoiced coach Arsene Wenger. "Let's keep in mind that until 2009 he played in the second French league, and now he continues his career in the English championship and represents his national team."
Koscielny himself said: "I am very happy. I have had a wonderful time here and hope that in the future we will achieve many victories."
