Today, the last press conference before the start of the "A lyga" championship tomorrow took place at Panevėžys "Ekranas" club. In the first match, the team of the Lithuanian vice champions will meet the "Vilnius" club at home - the match starts at 17:00 and will be broadcasted live on Tango TV.

According to the head coach of the team from Panevėžys, Virginijus Liubšys, "Ekranas" is prepared with a "4" rating in a "5-point system". The team's coach is slightly concerned about the left-back position, but despite this fact, Liubšys sets maximum tasks for himself and his players.

"And this season, 'Ekranas' will play honorably on the football field. The hardest part will be to get started. There are three tough and responsible home matches ahead. All the teams playing in the A lyga are strong and capable. The championship will be really interesting for football fans, just because even six teams have declared that they will fight only for prize-winning places," said Liubšys.

The assistant coach Albertas Klimavičius was pleased that the preparation season was overcome without injuries, and the coach is satisfied with the players' physical form: "The last LFF Cup quarter-final match had an optimistic impact, when 'Ekranas' men demonstrated a mature game on a rather difficult spring field."

The new "Ekranas" legionnaire, Georgian George Berianidze, warmly evaluated his first impressions in the new team: "I immediately felt that the team is very friendly, everyone is like one family. I knew little about Lithuanian football, but I knew that 'Ekranas' has great traditions and good ambitions," said the new "Ekranas" defender, to whom the club leaders solemnly presented the team's apparel - the player from Georgia will wear a jersey marked with number two.

Meanwhile, the captain of "Ekranas" Mantas Savėnas conveyed the team's mood to the media representatives. "Our mood is good. We are burning with impatience to prove that 'Ekranas' is a mature and professional team. Tomorrow you will see our true face!" invited everyone to the stadium the captain of "Ekranas."
