London's security guard Jack Wilshere will not appear on the field until October, says coach Arsene Wenger.
The 20-year-old footballer missed the entire last season due to ankle problems.
"We hope to see him in the team in October. With the return of Abou Diabi to the lineup, it will feel like we have acquired two new players. We have a strong and competitive squad," Wenger said.
Wilshere will not be able to help the English national team in the first World Cup qualifying matches against Moldova and Ukraine.
