Goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard has signed a new four-year contract with the club.
Last season, the 28-year-old footballer established himself in the main team, but in January he suffered a serious ankle injury and was out of action for a long time.
"Anders, as a goalkeeper, is still relatively young," said Manchester team coach Sir Alex Ferguson. "There is healthy competition in the team for the starting goalkeeper position, which is beneficial for everyone. I am delighted with this contract."
Lindegaard himself added: "Nothing makes me happier than the fact that I wear the 'Man Utd' logo on my shirt."
