The tragedy shook the United States football league - "Columbus Crew" defender Kirk Urso unexpectedly passed away at the age of 23.
According to local press, the police were called to a bar one night from Saturday to Sunday. Shortly before 2 am, medics confirmed Urso's death.
The football player joined the "Crew" this year, but only played in six matches, as he was recovering from injuries.
The cause of death is undisclosed.
