Vilnius city football club "Žalgiris" is leaving the head coach Damiras Petravičius, writes the official team page.

The board of VMFD "Žalgiris" from Croatia decided to part ways after the weekend match ended in a 2:2 draw with Marijampolė's "Sūduva" team.

Damiras Petravičius has been coaching the Lithuanian vice-champions team since the beginning of this season.

Under his leadership, Žalgiris won the LFF Cup, taking the second place in the "General Financing A League" after 22 rounds with 14 wins, 5 draws, and 3 losses.

The strategist is known as a good defense specialist. VMFD "Žalgiris" has been the best defending team in the Lithuanian championship, conceding the fewest goals.

49-year-old D. Petravičius has coached teams such as "Zagreb", Mladina "Vinogradar", Zagreb's "Hrvatski Dragovoljac", Sisak's "Segesta", "Gorica", and "Karlovac" during his career.
