After returning to Turin after two years, striker Sebastian Giovinco claims to have become a stronger player who scores more goals.

The product of the Italian champions' youth academy spent the last two seasons in the team under a shared ownership contract.

The progress of the footballer nicknamed the "atomic ant" did not go unnoticed.

This summer, Juventus bought a portion of the contract belonging to the "Parma" team for 11 million euros and gave another opportunity to shine to one of their youth academy talents.

"I didn't know if I would return, but I always longed for it deep in my heart," - the Italian's words are quoted by the club's magazine "Hurra Juventus." - I was born and raised in Turin, and I started my career at Juventus. I had ambitions to wear the black and white jersey again, and here I am.

Three years ago, I wanted to do what every young footballer wants to do - prove my worth to myself and others. After that, everyone said that I had succeeded in doing it during my time in Parma. My game and goals caught the attention of Juventus once again.

"I have changed for the better, but it's not over yet, and I have room for improvement. People who know me have already noticed that I have become a different player. I can better utilize my abilities, especially when it comes to scoring goals. You will see Giovinco scoring goals," promised the striker.

"I now enjoy scoring goals. It's better to score a goal than to make an assist. Playing for Juve, I will try to score as many goals as possible, so I won't limit myself. Last year's Scudetto win just shows how strong the Juventus team is, so I know I will fight for a place on the field.

"My physical data? It's not an issue at all. Spain and Barcelona have proven that centimeters are not everything. You need to know how to control the ball and move with it on the field - that's the most important thing. Running aimlessly after the ball won't get you anywhere."

When talking to journalists, Giovinco also answered a question about his close relationship with another Juventus youth academy talent and one of the key players on the team, Claudio Marchisio.

"Claudio and I have a special connection. During this time, his progress has been evident, and he has become one of the strongest midfielders in Europe. We have to thank the Juventus youth academy for all of this."

Asked about the legendary Alessandro Del Piero, who left the club this summer, the "atomic ant" said: "Without him, it will be difficult for everyone. Alex is a football legend. Spending 19 years at one club is an achievement not many can boast about," Giovinco said.
