The Turin strategist Antonio Conte, involved in a match-fixing scandal, has been disqualified for ten months. He is accused of knowing about illegal activities during the 2010-2011 season but failing to inform the appropriate authorities. Conte denies the accusations. The Italian Football Federation also rejected his request to shorten his sentence to three months, additionally imposing a €200,000 fine. Last season, Conte's team "Juventus" did not lose a single match in the Italian championship and won the title of national champions.
