The football community club "Kaunas" in its debut season, participating in the Lithuanian Football Federation (LFF) III League Kaunas County Championship, fiercely battles with more experienced competitors and awaits the support of fans as crucial matches approach.
Before the match on Sunday with one of the main rivals - "United" team, Geltonai Žali filmed an impressive video in which team member Edgaras Prieskienis not only demonstrates his skills, but also invites all football enthusiasts to come to the game and support the "Kaunas" team.
E.Prieskienis himself said that it was not his first time in front of cameras, and he didn't have time to be nervous, as he found out about his role in the video only upon arriving at the training session.
"If I had known in advance that I would have to film, maybe I would have been nervous, but I found out about it just before training, so I didn't feel nervous, as there was simply no time for that," - the football player said.
According to the player, the support of fans next to the pitch "boosts" the whole team and motivates them, as it becomes like a 12th player.
"Since we are just amateurs, the support of fans is especially important to us, they are like the 12th player of our team. I am glad that we created this visual invitation and hope that a large group of fans will attend the game," - E.Prieskienis spoke about the importance of fan support.
Although the football community club "Kaunas" cannot boast of sponsors and a large budget, enthusiasts who voluntarily created the video contributed to the initiative of fans to revive the legendary football club.
The visual invitation created by Dominykas Stelmokas and Tadas Sokolovas exceeded all expectations of team leaders and "wiped the floor" with other Lithuanian football clubs, as only a few of the country's strongest clubs can boast of active marketing and communication with fans.
The football community club "Kaunas" match against the other temporary capital team "United" will be held this Sunday, 20:30, at the National Football Academy's 1st field (Aušros g. 42D).
