"Manchester City" club shrugged off threats from team coach Roberto Mancini to resign if striker Mario Balotelli is sold.

The Premier League champions decided not to take any risks and rejected a very tempting offer from Paris Saint-Germain for the Italian who shone at the European Championships.

According to the English press, the money-rich French team intended to pay no less than 40 million pounds sterling.

PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti had identified M. Balotelli as one of the main targets for the summer to the team management.
