Representing the London team, midfielder Alex Song confirmed to the news portal "Sky Sports" that he is indeed interested, but added that he "is satisfied with his current club."
In recent times, the sports media in England and Spain have been buzzing with reports that the Catalan club, preparing for the new season, is seriously targeting the 24-year-old Cameroonian representing Arsene Wenger's team.
According to various sources, the player is expected to be offered between 15 and 25 million euros. There is a possibility that, if the deal goes through, a Barcelona player could also be included in the transfer.
The Arsenal defender, speaking to Sky Sports journalists on Monday, acknowledged that the interest of the Catalan club is indeed felt.
"I won't lie to you by saying that they are not interested in me (Barcelona - ed.), but I am an Arsenal player and I am happy in London," Song said. "Barcelona is the best club in the world, so rumors about a possible transfer will probably spread until the end of the transfer window."
The Cameroonian's current contract with Arsenal expires in the summer of 2014.
