Officially confirmed that they have reached an agreement with London and will acquire forward Robin van Persie for almost 31 million euros in the near future.
The Netherlands national team member announced at the beginning of the summer that he will not extend his contract expiring next year and wishes to be sold. The main reason Van Persie, who is hungry for trophies, mentioned is the "different vision of the future" compared to the club's leaders, who have not won any tournament for seven years.
"Man City" also showed interest in him, but ultimately the player will end up at "Man Utd."
This week, Van Persie will travel to Manchester, where he will negotiate personal contract terms and undergo a medical examination. Last season, in 57 matches across all tournaments, he scored an impressive 44 goals.
