The new strategist of VMFD "Žalgiris" team, Marekas Zubas, chose coach Ivan Švabovičius as his assistant.
The choice of the new head coach of Vilnius City Football Association's "Žalgiris" team, Marekas Zubas, was influenced by the fact that I.Švabovičius knows most of the Žalgiris team well and speaks Polish fluently.
"Communication is one of the most important things in achieving the team's goals. We must understand each other, discuss and make the most appropriate decisions," says the new strategist of Žalgiris.
For the past two and a half years, Mindaugas Čepas, the former assistant head coach of VMFD "Žalgiris," remains in the Žalgiris family. He will work with the young football players of "Žalgiris-3" team, who have been trained by I.Švabovičius together with assistant Dmitrijus Kartašiovas since the beginning of this season.
The new assistant of VMFD "Žalgiris" team will join on August 20, returning from a business trip in Poland.
I.Švabovičius has coached the Lithuanian youth national team (up to the age of 19). He has worked several times as the head coach of Vilnius Football Club "Vilnius," as well as serving as the sports director and coach of this club. In the 2007 season, he was the head coach of Visaginas "Intera."
