Robinas van Persie officially signed a four-year contract with the club on Friday. He will receive almost 31 million euros compensation for it in London.
The Dutch national team member could debut for the 'Red Devils' as soon as Monday's English Premier League match against Liverpool's Everton.
"It is a great honor to sign a contract with Man Utd," he said. "I will have the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of amazing strikers. I hope to be useful in the fight for the most important trophies in football. I am really looking forward to the start of the season."
Van Persie's contract with Arsenal was supposed to last one more year, but in the beginning of the summer, he announced that he would not renew it.
The striker, who scored 44 goals in 57 matches last season, was interested in teams like Juventus, Man City, and Paris St. Germain, but eventually reached an agreement with Man Utd.
