Barselona's "Espanyol" has signed a contract with free agent Simao Sabrosa.
The former Portuguese national team forward recently terminated his contract with Istanbul's "Besiktas" and will wear Catalonia's team jersey for the next two seasons.
The 32-year-old Simao began his career at Lisbon's "Sporting" and later played for "Barcelona", Lisbon's "Benfica", Madrid's "Atletico" and finally "Besiktas".
Last season Simao scored three goals in 31 matches in the Turkish league.
