Turin presented a new offer to Athletic Bilbao for striker Fernando Llorente - this time the amount is 18 million euros.
Initially, the Italian champions wanted to acquire the Spanish national team footballer for a sum 2 million euros lower, but such an offer was rejected.
It is almost certain that Llorente will leave the Athletic team, as he recently rejected an offer to extend his contract. Knowing this, coach Marcelo Bielsa did not include him in the lineup for the first Spanish championship match against Real Betis of Seville.
Along with Llorente, goalkeeper Javi Martinez should also leave Bilbao this summer: he is being sought by Bayern Munich for 40 million euros.
