UEFA Control and Disciplinary Committee punished Milan's "Inter" club for the unrest caused by fans during the Champions League quarter-final matches. The club will now have to play four European tournament matches at the "San Siro" stadium without spectators, and the penalty could be increased by two more matches during the probationary period.

This means that if during the three-year probationary period "Inter" commits any more violations, the disciplinary committee could impose not only a simple penalty, but also a two-match disqualification.

The Milan club also received a fine of 300 thousand Swiss francs (about 200 thousand euros), and in the second leg of the quarter-finals, the "Milan" team was awarded a 3-0 victory, making the aggregate result of the tie 5-0.

It is important to note that the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final was interrupted in the 75th minute, with "Milan" leading 1-0, when "Inter" fans began throwing various objects onto the field and even injured the opposition team's goalkeeper.
