The club has signed a new long-term contract with center-back Martin Skrtel.
This 27-year-old footballer was sought after this summer by "Man City" and "Fiorentina", but he decided to tie his future with the Liverpool team.
"After last season, there was a lot of talk about where I could go, but my priority has always been Liverpool," Skrtel said. "We have our goal: this season it is to secure a place in the top four of the English Premier League."
The Slovak arrived in England in 2008 from St. Petersburg's "Zenit" for almost 8 million euros.
