Saturday's victory of the team in the Premier League's second round match against London's Fulham did not come without losses for the "red devils" - Wayne Rooney suffered a leg injury, which will keep him out of the game for about a month.
After coming on as a substitute, the striker blocked Hugo Rodallego's shot during added time, but the opponent's football cleats caught Rooney's thigh strongly, causing a severe injury.
"Very bad," - said Sir Alex Ferguson after the match. "Wayne was taken to the hospital. It seems that we have lost him for four weeks."
This would mean that Rooney will not be able to play in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers against Moldova and Ukraine with the English national team, as well as in the first UEFA Champions League match for Manchester United in September.
