He signed a one-year contract with Nuri Sahin, who will be loaned out from the Madrid club.
The 'Reds' have decided to pay a larger part of Sahin's salary, which amounts to 145 thousand euros per week, than London's "Arsenal", which was also interested in the Turkish national team midfielder. However, according to unofficial reports, there is no option for a buyout clause in the deal.
"I am proud to represent a team like Liverpool," Sahin said. "After the first conversation, the coach Brendan Rodgers left a great impression on me. He explained his football philosophy and goals.
"I hope that this year we will win trophies. I am very much looking forward to meeting the fans."
Sahin arrived at Real before last season, but due to injuries and other circumstances, he did not establish himself in the main lineup. In total, he played only 11 matches.
