The 29th round of the German football championship has begun.

"Schalke", experiencing their second consecutive failure, further diminished their hopes of winning the champions title, as their fiercest competitors "Bayern" secured another victory and increased the gap to six points, with only 5 rounds left until the end of the championship.

Despite being aware of the importance of the match, "Schalke" lost 1-2 to "Hamburger SV" club. Just three minutes into the game, "Schalke" was already leading 1-0, but the visitors from the port city did not give up and equalized the score in the 61st minute. With three minutes left to play, M. Krstajičius scored an own goal and thus let down his team.

Meanwhile, the "Bayern" club, after a fierce battle, defeated the "Hannover" team with a last-minute goal by O. Hargreaves, thus securing a big step towards the champions title.

The "Werder" football players, defending their champions title, were not successful. The Bremen team lost 0-1 to the Berlin "Hertha" club in front of their own fans. Marcelinho stood out in the ranks of the capital club.

The "Stuttgart" club failed to take advantage of the "Schalke" club's defeat, losing 2-1 to the "Hansa" team. It is worth mentioning that the Rostock team is currently in seventeenth place in the tournament table. By the way, during this match, referee M. Sammer showed as many as nine yellow cards.

With the season approaching its climax, the "Bayer" club is trying to climb out of the bottom positions. The Leverkuseno team defeated the "Freiburg" eleven 1-3 away and kept their hopes alive to compete for the right to play in the UEFA Cup.
