"Liverpool" is loaning striker Andy Carroll to the London "West Ham" team. The 24-year-old footballer has already passed a medical examination, so the formalities will be sorted out in the near future.
A year and a half ago, Liverpool paid 44 million euros for the Englishman, but he only scored 11 goals in 57 matches.
"The situation is very simple - the club invested a huge amount in acquiring Andy, but he is not playing at the moment," said Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers. "His own desire is to spend as much time on the field as possible, and this opportunity was the last chance to achieve that."
He continued: "You don't have to be a great scientist to understand that Carroll is a substitute. We cannot afford to keep such an expensive player on the bench."
According to the media, "West Ham" did not commit to buying out Carroll's contract after a year, but this deal should release money for the "Liverpool" team, which is tempting Fulham striker Clint Dempsey.
