Many clubs' interest was raised by striker Dimitar Berbatov, who put his signature on a two-year contract with the London team.

The 31-year-old footballer left the "Red Devils" four years ago for 35 million euros, but now the deal value will be much lower - only about 6 million euros.

However, the official transfer fee is not disclosed.

Berbatov was just a step away from moving to Italy's "Fiorentina", but he changed his mind and decided to stay in London for family reasons.

At the last minute, news appeared that former club - London's "Tottenham" - also joined the fight for Berbatov, but the striker chose another club in the capital.

Last season, the Bulgarian lost his place in the main "Man Utd" lineup and played only 12 matches, starting in 5 of them. However, he managed to score seven goals.
