One of the best right-backs of the past year, Maicon, is leaving the Milan team for 3 million pounds sterling and moving to City.
Although the transfer fee is not officially announced, according to the press, the 31-year-old footballer is leaving the English champions for a small sum, as his contract with the Italian club was only valid until June 30, 2013.
In 2010, Maicon, who triumphed in the UEFA Champions League, moved to Inter, then coached by Roberto Mancini, in 2006 from the Monaco team.
Before the end of the summer transfer window, Manchester City is also expected to be strengthened by Benfica's defensive midfielder Javi Garcia and Fiorentina defender Matija Nastasic.
