For Sir Alex Ferguson, this weekend is special - the match against Southampton on Sunday will be his 1000th leading the Man Utd team.
The specialist from Scotland has been with the 'Red Devils' since 1986.
"During these years, there have been so many amazing players at the club... It was an honor to work with them," he told the Daily Mail. "There is nothing more pleasant than driving to the training ground and knowing that soon I will have a few hours of work ahead of me."
He added: "Any manager would be happy to remember at least one great team they worked with. I had five or six."
The 70-year-old coach does not consider himself an example for others: "I didn't try to become who others wanted to be. I never read books written by other coaches. I just tried to be myself and behave as I thought was right. If I had to give advice to young specialists, I would say that the most important thing is to learn from mistakes and understand why they were made."
A victory against Southampton would be Ferguson's 599th in the country's championship. 233 matches ended in a draw, and only 168 were lost. During this time, his team scored 1863 goals and conceded 663.
