"Liverpool" is considering the possibility of making an offer to striker Michael Owen, as reported by ESPN.
Although the summer transfer window has already closed, clubs can sign contracts with free agents. Last season represented by "Man Utd", but not receiving an offer to extend his contract, Owen is currently looking for a new team.
Liverpool desperately needs attacking players, as Andy Carroll left for London's "West Ham" on the penultimate day of the summer, and attempts to acquire Clint Dempsey and Daniel Sturridge ended in failure. For this reason, coach Brendan Rodgers is left with only two nominal strikers: Luis Suarez and Fabio Borini.
However, not all fans will want to see Owen in the 'red' shirt: it is here that he began his career in 1996, but in 2004 he refused to extend his contract and was sold to Real Madrid for less than the market price. Additionally, for the past three years he represented Liverpool's arch-rival "Man Utd".
The former England national team striker is also actively being pursued by "Sunderland" and "Stoke".
