The club "Sydney" in Australia has officially signed a two-year contract with former Italian national team striker Alessandro Del Piero.

The 37-year-old veteran left Turin's "Juventus" team in the summer, where he has played over 700 matches. According to reports, several English teams, including "Liverpool," were interested in him, but the veteran decided to go far beyond the Old Continent's borders.

"This is an extremely important moment in my life, as I continue my career in an unprecedented part of the world. I hope to contribute to the growth of football popularity," Del Piero said.

Del Piero has played 91 matches for the Italian national team. Previously, famous footballers such as Robbie Fowler, Romario, Juninho, and Dwight Yorke have played in Australia.
