Rummenigge: The European national team will not suffer the fate of the next World Cup © EuroFootball.com

Executive director Karl-Heinz Rummenigge of Munich's "Bayern" doesn't believe in the chances of the German national team to win the 2014 World Cup.

The former national team captain insists that Brazil will have the advantage, as the tournament will take place in this country.

"I don't share the opinion expressed by some 'Bayern' footballers who believe they will become world champions in two years," said Rummenigge. "I think it will be as history suggests: European countries will not triumph on South American soil.

"Therefore, the trophy should be lifted by either Brazil or Argentina. They will seek revenge for their failures in recent years."
