London's Fulham has signed a contract with Greek national team captain Giorgos Karagounis.
The 35-year-old midfielder left Athens' Panathinaikos after last season and has been a free agent until now.
"I am extremely happy to have signed a contract with Fulham - I am very excited about the new challenge in the English Premier League," said Karagounis. "It's great that I will have the opportunity to work with Martin Jol and play alongside fantastic players."
Jol added: "Giorgos has a huge international experience. Furthermore, he has been an important player in all the clubs he has been in. He will definitely strengthen the team."
