After recovering from a serious thigh injury, striker David Villa hopes to be able to play the full 90 minutes again soon.

The football player spent even eight months recovering from a thigh fracture suffered in the Club World Cup semi-final match against Doha's "Al-Sadd," and now he is spending more and more time on the field.

A week and a half ago, the experienced striker was invited back to the Spanish national team, which has started the qualifying matches for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

This weekend, "Barcelona" will continue their matches in the national championship, and the Catalans face a tough challenge away against the suburban team "Getafe," which has already managed to defeat Madrid's "Real" this season. "I feel normal. Finally, I know that I can play with full force again, but I also realize that I haven't reached my ideal athletic form yet. It will take another 15 or 20 days," said the Spaniard.

The striker noted that in another team he would probably already be playing continuously, but the concerns of "Barcelona" coaches and doctors are completely understandable - the injury was indeed serious, so there is no intention to rush events, and experienced players are gradually being reintegrated into the game. The coach of the Catalan club, Tito Vilanova, has emphasized several times that the striker will spend more and more time on the field, but will not play the full 90 minutes immediately.

"Rushing would not be beneficial for either me or my teammates. Now everything depends on the coach. I am ready to play as much as he commands and as much as necessary. It's time to help the team and thank the doctors for their care," claimed the player known as "El Guaje."

According to the footballer, another important fact gives him additional motivation: "I am grateful to the team leaders and coaches for not acquiring a new striker in the summer. This means that my skills on the field are trusted, and I am needed."
