On Sunday, in the only matches played in the fourth round of the English Premier League, the Tottenham footballers from London secured their first victory of the new season. Led by Jermain Defoe and coached by Andre Villas-Boas, they defeated Reading 3-1 away and climbed to the tenth place in the tournament table.
The England national team player scored two goals, with Gareth Bale of Wales scoring the other goal for Tottenham.
The hosts were consoled by a late goal from Hal Robson-Kanu.
