Wayne Rooney will not appear on the field in Sunday's English Premier League match against Liverpool, says Man Utd manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
The English national team striker has been out injured for almost a month, but rumors of his comeback this weekend have not been confirmed.
"I know what the newspapers are writing, but it's not true. Rooney will soon recover, but he needs another week," Ferguson said.
He added: "He is training well, working hard. However, we want to prepare him properly, not risk him too early."
