Two of the most famous clubs in Madrid are very actively interested in Sevilla's Brazilian representative Ricardo Oliveira.

Oliveira joined "Betis" only this summer from a team where he couldn't establish himself and immediately became one of Sevilla's leaders, scoring 17 goals this season, helping his club continue to fight for a spot in the next season's UEFA Champions League.

Oliveira's contract with "Betis" is valid until 2011, so a club wishing to acquire the Brazilian striker earlier would have to pay Sevilla €30 million.

For this reason, the most likely candidate to acquire the player is considered to be the royal Madrid club, "Real", whose owner Florentino Perez has already paid similar or even higher amounts for players dominating his club.

"I don't know anything for sure, but if it's true, I'm extremely happy that Madrid clubs are interested in me," Oliveira said.

However, Oliveira is not the main target of Madrid clubs. During the upcoming transfer window, "Atletico" will first try to acquire another Sevilla striker Julio Baptista, while "Real" will try to attract a young Italian Alberto Gilardino, representing a team currently going through tough times.
