In the Lithuanian A League, "Šiauliai" forward Artūras Rimkevičius, who has already sent six goals into opponents' nets twice, is not only the most productive in the country's championships.

The Lithuanian national team football player currently leads confidently in the ranking of the most productive European footballers this season. A.Rimkevičius has already beaten opponents' goalkeepers 27 times in the A League championship and has 27 points.

Last year's laureate, Barcelona's superstar Lionel Messi, with 6 goals and 12 points, is in 22nd place. Swedish player Zlatan Ibrahimović, representing Paris Saint-Germain, with 7 goals and 14 points, is in 16th place.

So far, only these two players from the top thirty represent the five strongest football leagues.

There are also two more players playing in the A League on the list: "Dainava" forward Arsenijus Bujnickis with 16 goals is seventh, and VMFD "Žalgiris" legionnaire from Scotland Calum Elliot, who has scored 15 accurate shots, shares 8th-13th place.

The "Golden Boot" award is given to the most productive European footballer, and only goals scored in national championships are included in the count.

In the five strongest European leagues - Spain, Italy, England, Germany, and France - goals scored are multiplied by 2. From 6th to 21st place in the UEFA rankings, goals scored in leagues are multiplied by 1.5, while for the remaining leagues, including the A League, they are not multiplied. This system has been in place since the 1996-1997 season.

The last time a player outside of the top five leagues received the "Golden Boot" was in the 2001-2002 season. Braga's (Portugal) Brazilian Mario Jardel scored 42 goals and collected 62 points.

It is worth noting that the strongest league championships started just a month ago, while the A League championship is already approaching its end.

Last year, Lionel Messi triumphed in the rankings with 50 goals, the year before was Real Madrid's forward Cristiano Ronaldo with 40 goals, and in the 2009-2010 season, it was Lionel Messi again with 34 goals.
