Reward "Newcastle" coach for good results - an eight-year contract © EuroFootball.com

The "Newcastle" club has signed a new contract with coach Alan Pardew that will be valid for as long as eight years.

Last season, the 'Magpies' finished a high fifth in the English Premier League and secured a spot in the UEFA Europa League tournament. Therefore, his contract, which was supposed to expire in 2016, has been extended.

Along with Pardew, a new contract of the same duration was signed by the assisting coaches John Carver, Steve Stone and Andy Woodman.

"If we look at clubs like "Man Utd" and London's "Arsenal", where Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger work, we can learn a lesson: stability creates the best platform for success. That's what we want too," said managing director Derek Llambias.

"We aim for last season's results to be just the beginning. Our goal is to improve."
