Former AC Milan defender Kakha Kaladze has been appointed as the new Minister of Regional Development of Georgia.

Following the parliamentary elections won by Bidzina Ivanishvili's party "Georgian Dream", there was a place for Kaladze in the government. Kaladze, who wore the jersey of AC Milan from 2001 to 2010, has also played for Tbilisi Dinamo, Kyiv Dinamo, and Genoa in his career. The Georgian retired from football only in May of this year.
