London's "Arsenal" strategist Arsene Wenger, with the winter transfer window open, plans to open his wallet wide and find a footballer who will replace Robin van Persie.
According to the English press, the specialist instructed scouts to compile a list of players who could supplement the team. The planned investment exceeds 40 million euros.
Wenger admits that they have not been able to adequately replace the departed Van Persie to "Man Utd." The acquired Olivier Giroud was supposed to be next to the Dutchman, not in place of him, while Lukas Podolski often plays not in the center, but in a winger position.
Therefore, they are already looking for a new striker, with the main candidates currently being Madrid's "Atletico" representative Adrian Lopez and Bilbao's "Athletic" leader Fernando Llorente.
Also mentioned are the names of Stevan Jovetic, who plays for "Fiorentina," and Abel Hernandez from "Palermo."
