"Barcelona" will have to cope without the presence of midfielder Sergio Busquets in the next two Champions League matches. The Control and Disciplinary Committee of the tournament held a session in the Swiss town of Nyon and handed the Catalan team's player a suspension for receiving a red card in the match against Lisbon's "Benfica". The clash between Portuguese and Catalan clubs ended in a 2-0 victory for "Barcelona", but Tito Vilanova's players finished the game with ten men. During a conflict that arose at the end of the match, the Turkish referee Cuneyt Cakir immediately showed a red card to the midfielder, forcing S. Busquets to leave the field. S. Busquets will miss both Champions League matches against Glasgow "Celtic".
