Sir Alex Ferguson was disappointed in defender Rio Ferdinand's behavior of refusing to wear t-shirts supporting anti-racism organizations.
Although "Kick it out" fights against racial discrimination towards black people, Ferdinand and "Reading" striker Jason Roberts criticized the ineffectiveness of this group and refused to wear the t-shirts expressing support.
"It was disappointing and put me in a very uncomfortable position. Ferdinand's behavior is a big disappointment. All footballers wear the t-shirts, except Roberts. I do not know his motives," said Ferguson.
The "Kick it out" campaign started on Thursday and will continue until October 29th. It aims to draw attention to racism issues in football.
Roberts and Ferdinand's dissatisfaction was caused by the FA's decision to only give a four-match ban to London "Chelsea" defender John Terry for racially abusing Anton Ferdinand, a black player.
