London's Chelsea coach Roberto Di Matteo was disappointed with FIFA's decision to include only one "Blues" player in the final list of candidates to win the Golden Ball.
The only chance to win the prestigious award will be for striker Didier Drogba, who moved to play in China several months ago.
"Of course, this is disappointing, as the club that won the UEFA Champions League should have received more respect," said the Italian.
"It is difficult to even explain such a decision. I am not sure if FIFA representatives often follow international competitions," Di Matteo said.
