The ranks of defenders of the Catalonia club, who have been rapidly thinning this season due to various injuries, lost yet another footballer on Saturday.
In the 10th round of the Spanish championship, defender Adriano Correia did not finish the match. In the game against Celta de Vigo, the Brazilian scored the first goal for his team, but just before the break he asked to be substituted due to pain in his right leg. Daniel Alves appeared on the field in his place in the 38th minute of the game.
Barcelona's medical staff immediately checked Adriano's leg and determined that the player had strained his thigh muscle. It is predicted that due to this injury, the footballer will be out for at least 20 days.
This is the second time this season that Adriano has not finished a match due to injury. The Brazilian had also injured his leg in a match in the Spanish league against Granada.
On Saturday evening, the match between Barcelona and Celta, held at the Camp Nou, ended with a 3-1 victory for the home team.
