The Scottish Football Association announced that they have dismissed the national team coach Craig Levein.
Under Levein's leadership, the team had a tragic start to the 2014 World Cup qualifying matches, earning only 2 points in four games (sixth place in Group A).
Billy Stark has been appointed as the interim coach of the Scottish national team, who will lead the team in a friendly match against Luxembourg.
"The national team has the task of improving its position in Group A and rising in the FIFA rankings. We must start preparing for the 2016 European Championship qualifiers, where as many as 24 teams will compete," - states the official announcement.
