Jose Mourinho criticized the referees after yesterday's match against "Betis", but praised the opponents from Seville for their fighting spirit.
On Saturday, "Los Blancos" did not show their usual sporting form, but the referees made incorrect decisions several times. An obvious mistake was made when Karim Benzema was ruled offside, but in the video replay, it was clear that there was still a home defender in front of the Frenchman.
"This week has been very difficult for us. I want to congratulate the players of "Betis" and their coach on their deserved victory," Mourinho told journalists after the match.
"Part of the blame for this defeat lies with the referee. He made many incorrect decisions. Benzema's goal should have been counted without any doubt, but the "Betis" players deserve my respect, they played excellently."
The 49-year-old coach is also dissatisfied with the match schedule, as the players do not have enough time to rest properly.
"It is obvious that the team that played on Wednesday should not have played today. The players did not have enough rest after the tough UEFA Champions League match, but I am also to blame for this defeat," insisted the arrogant Portuguese.
