The football match between Trinidad and Tobago "delighted" fans with an unprecedented incident.
With "College San Fernando" leading 2-1 against "Shiva Boys", a fan of the latter team ran onto the field and attacked the assistant referee, who allegedly did not see a penalty that should have been awarded to the leading team for a goal.
However, the attacker was not from the stands: using a small flag pole, he fiercely defended himself against the angry assailant until police officers arrived. The incident angered the referee so much that he even tried to approach the captured man and retaliate for the attack, but was stopped by security guards.
The match was interrupted due to this incident.
