According to the newspaper "Sport" in Catalonia, "Barcelona" successfully completed negotiations for a new contract with forward Cristiano Tello.
The 21-year-old footballer was offered a contract valid until June 30, 2016, and a place in the main Catalan team.
The current player's contract expires next summer, and C. Tello is currently registered as a reserve player for "Barcelona," although he trains with players competing in the elite Spanish championship this season.
According to unofficial information, discussions between "Barcelona" sports director Andoni Zubizarreta and the agent representing the forward's interests, Josep Maria Orobitgo, have been ongoing regarding the player's buyout clause. It is believed that it should be at least 20 million euros. C. Tello will also receive a significantly increased salary, but the amount is not disclosed.
It is said that "Barcelona" will officially announce the signing of a new contract with their youth academy graduate this month.
